New collection of fabric and trim from Suzanne Kasler
Lee Jofa takes you on a journey through the south of France with The Riviera Collection from renowned designer Suzanne Kasler. Inspired by Kasler’s travels, this collection of fabric and trim represents the designer’s fresh approach to classic design, featuring a beautiful sunset palette, as well as more traditional hues.
Offering a distinct assortment of refined and expertly designed textiles, The Riviera Collection is defined by a European aesthetic, a coastal chic sensibility and tailored finishes. “This collection embodies my idea of sophisticated simplicity,” says Kasler.
The colors and patterns in this collection transport you across the Atlantic to the beautiful boutique resorts along the shore. Inspired by the sails floating along the coast, and Kasler’s love of silk scarves, ST. TROPEZ is a beautiful large-scale print which displays dense, rich colors. Printed in one of the finest mills in Italy, this fabric is made entirely of cotton satin, making it both current and classic. Also coming soon – this pattern is offered as a wallcovering and is available is four colorways.
MONACO is a contemporary ikat design, inspired by a vintage Moroccan pillow Kasler found while traveling abroad. This pattern remains true to its ancient roots with its scale and character, coupled with an updated color palette for today’s interiors. Printed in the UK to appear like the back of a hand-block, AVIGNON offers a fresh take on a timeless floral. The distressed documentary interpretation gives the fabric an antique appearance.
Other aspects of Kasler’s life are on full display throughout this collection. Kasler is known for acquiring hidden gems as she tours the globe – each piece serving as new inspiration for future designs. CANNES is derived from a tile floor design she saw while on a trip, and brings a graphic element to this timeless collection. It’s also offered as a coordinating wallcovering in three colorways.
For Kasler, this collection represents the style of the famed Cote d’Azure, where Kasler has spent a lot of her time collecting design details, incorporating each new discovery into this timelessly current collection.
