Never Basic: Kravet’s Bold New Chapter

Photos by OkCrowe Photography

After more than a century of shaping interiors, we’re shaking things up. Our latest campaign, Never Basic, is our bold, colorful, and unapologetically confident way of saying that classic design can have a playful side too. Alongside the campaign comes a refreshed Kravet logo, a modern evolution that reflects the brand’s creative spirit while honoring its timeless heritage.

A Night of Color and Conversation

The launch event at New York’s Ideal Glass Studio was more than a party; it was a vibrant experience. Following the New York Design Center’s What’s New, What’s Next festivities, guests stepped into a world where color told the story.

Each table took inspiration from one of the campaign’s signature shades, Palm, Peacock, Amethyst, and Golden Hour, with every detail perfectly tuned to its tone. Oversized moodboards in each of the shades showcased campaign photos, fabrics, trims, inspiration, and more, creating an immersive, tactile experience. The event was designed by Cassie LaMere Events, with cocktails and courses by Pinch Food Design reflecting the palette, Pooky Lighting casting a glow to match, and Doty Bennett napkin rings completing each setting. Paper artist Talo Kawasaki even transformed Kravet wallcoverings into intricate origami blooms, a clever nod to craft and creativity. Guests also enjoyed customized matchbooks and could take home a Hotel Lobby candle in one of the campaign colors, perfectly extending the Never Basic experience beyond the evening.

We were thrilled to collaborate with our brand partners for this event—Elle Decor, Benjamin Moore, and The Shade Store—whose support helped showcase the Never Basic vision in full color.

The Designers Defining the Moment

To bring Never Basic to life, we partnered with four designers who each express individuality in distinctly forward-thinking ways: Shawn Henderson, Jean Liu, Leah Ring, and Melanie Turner. Together, they represent the campaign’s ethos: that bold doesn’t mean brash, and timeless doesn’t mean tame.

Their work with Kravet shows that design can be both rooted and forward-thinking—luxurious, but with a wink.

Always Kravet

At its core, Never Basic is about evolution. While the phrase captures a fresh creative spirit, it’s balanced by another line from the campaign: Always Kravet.

It’s a simple reminder that reinvention doesn’t require reinvention of identity. The essence of Kravet, including its craftsmanship, quality, and ability to shape interiors of lasting beauty, remains firmly intact. As Cary Kravet noted, the campaign celebrates “what’s possible” through color, texture, and artistry.

The New Mood of Kravet

As Never Basic unfolds across our print, digital, and showroom experiences, one thing is clear: we’re excited to join the conversation and share our love of color and creativity, one vibrant story at a time.

Because being Always Kravet has never looked (or felt) this bold.
