Step Inside the New Lilly Pulitzer x Lee Jofa Cottages at The Nantucket Hotel

A true celebration of color and pattern.

Nantucket’s design scene just got a major burst of color. This summer, Lee Jofa partnered with Lilly Pulitzer, Benjamin Moore, and The Nantucket Hotel to reimagine two private cottages as part of the annual Nantucket By Design event. With interior designer Michael Kramer of Michael Thomas & Co. leading the transformation, the project brings together fashion, interiors, and color in a way that’s fresh, playful, and completely unforgettable. The best part? You can now book a stay in one of these dreamy spaces.

At the heart of the transformation is the newly launched Lee Jofa x Lilly Pulitzer fabric and wallcovering collection. Known for its signature florals, bright color palettes, and timeless resort vibe, the collection takes classic Lilly style and translates it into textiles designed for interiors. Think vivid headboards, pattern-wrapped walls, and colorful custom pillows, all layered with sunshine and personality. The new collection includes standout designs like She’s Got Sol, a multicolored hero print used throughout the cottages, and Costa Verde, a modern chevron that adds dimension in multiple colorways. Working with Benjamin Moore’s coastal-inspired paint palette, Kramer and the design team used the cottages as a canvas to showcase the full expression of the collection.

To celebrate the launch, Lee Jofa, Lilly Pulitzer, Benjamin Moore, and The Nantucket Hotel hosted an immersive garden party, aptly named The Shell Club, as the kickoff for the annual Nantucket by Design celebration, bringing vibrant design collaboration to life in unforgettable fashion.

Highlights from the event included a Lilly Pulitzer artist live-painting the collection’s signature patterns by hand, offering guests a front-row seat to the design in action. Custom cabanas and table linens were wrapped in Lee Jofa x Lilly Pulitzer fabric, transforming the hotel grounds into a spirited , living moodboard. A Lilly Pulitzer Moke, parked under a whimsical “lemon tree,” was styled with fresh pillows from the collection, while a painted shell wall adorned with signature Lilly patterns invited guests to take home a keepsake. Throughout the day, visitors were also invited on exclusive cottage tours, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and the new collection in its full context.

Whether you’re exploring Nantucket for the weekend or planning your next getaway, the cottages are now open and ready to welcome overnight guests. It’s the perfect escape for anyone who loves color, coastal living, and interiors that don’t take themselves too seriously. This is resort style, reimagined, and it’s never looked better.
