Kravet Couture x Altuzarra: A Fusion of High Fashion and Home Design

Kravet Couture is delighted to unveil its latest collaboration with renowned fashion designer Joseph Altuzarra. This exclusive launch presents a stunning collection of textiles and wallcoverings that seamlessly blend Altuzarra’s celebrated fashion sensibilities with the world of interiors. Designed for the modern home, the collection reimagines signature elements of Altuzarra’s style through jewel-toned, earthy prints and weaves that bring an elevated aesthetic to everyday spaces.

Altuzarra, known for his mastery of color, print, and texture, expressed his excitement about the collaboration: “Home design has always been a passion of mine, and I’m incredibly excited to introduce Altuzarra’s signature style to the world of interiors. My work is deeply rooted in color, print, and texture, making this collaboration a natural extension of my design language.”

The collection draws inspiration from nature’s intricate beauty, interpreting its abstract forms into lush, handcrafted textiles. It also offers a nod to the timeless allure of Greek mythology, while transforming these influences into modern, livable art for the home.

Danielle St. George, Senior Vice President of Product Development for Kravet Couture, highlighted the harmony between the two brands: “Kravet Couture’s fashion-forward approach to home furnishings aligns perfectly with the Altuzarra ethos of uncompromising quality and modern style. Joseph’s passion for artisanal craftsmanship is evident throughout his fashion collections, and he brought that same commitment to our partnership. Together, we explored new techniques and transformed his vision into home textiles that push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship.”

The collaboration is distinguished not only by its unique design aesthetic but also by its impeccable craftsmanship. Sourced from esteemed mills in Austria, the UK, and Italy, the collection tells a rich story of tradition and artistry. Each piece celebrates both time-honored techniques and innovative design.

Among the standout pieces are Izumo, a luxurious velvet textile featuring Altuzarra’s signature shibori tie-dye technique, complemented by a coordinating wallcovering. Another highlight is Askania, which showcases a pattern inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test, printed on fine Suri Alpaca fibers. The blend of elevated texture and fluidity in these pieces embodies the essence of modern femininity that Altuzarra is known for.

Says Altuzarra, “I think what made this collection so special for me is that I’m currently in the process of building a home in New York. I had the opportunity to use many of the wallcoverings and textiles in my own space, which added a personal element to the project. As I was developing the collection, I was constantly thinking about how I would actually use these designs in my home. This made the project feel very intimate, and I believe it ultimately made the collection stronger. We edited certain pieces out by asking ourselves, ‘Would I really use this?’ If the answer was no, it didn’t make it into the final collection.

I’m especially excited to use the panels and the Rorschach pattern throughout my home, as well as the feather print. We’re weaving a few different stories into my home, which I think will create a rich, layered feel.”

The Kravet Couture x Altuzarra collaboration invites homeowners and design enthusiasts to explore the abstract beauty of nature through exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design, transforming interiors into spaces of sophistication and style.
