Digging into the Archives
Q: Lee Jofa has over two centuries of textile history to draw from. How did you dive into such a massive archive, and what made these specific botanical and floral prints feel right for Weezie’s aesthetic?
A: “I have long admired Lee Jofa’s storied archive. It’s been a design reference for me, both personally and professionally, and one that has inspired the Weezie design community for years.
We ultimately landed on three patterns that each brought something different to the collection. Two are beloved archival prints, Palmero and Davenport, and the third, Marciana, was designed by the Lee Jofa team exclusively for Weezie.”
Translating Fabric to Terry Cloth
Q: Taking intricate heritage patterns meant for upholstery or drapery and translating them onto plush terry is a unique technical challenge. What did that adaptation process look like, and how did you preserve the hand-drawn feel of the originals?
A: “That was one of the most rewarding parts of the process! Terry behaves very differently than upholstery or drapery fabric, so each pattern has to be carefully adapted for an entirely new medium.
Palmero, in particular, lent itself beautifully to a woven construction. It showcases the pattern in such a unique way, and one of my favorite details is that the reverse side reveals the opposite colorway, so you really get to appreciate how color, texture, and pattern all work together. Across the collection, we spent a lot of time refining scale, color, and placement to ensure every design stayed true to the original artwork while feeling completely at home on our towels and robes.”
Bridging Heritage Design and Everyday Luxury
Q: Lee Jofa is synonymous with classic grandmillennial and traditional interior design, while Weezie brought a modern, fresh twist to luxury bath linens. How do you see this collection bridging the gap between high-end interior design and functional everyday home essentials?
A: “At Weezie, we’ve always believed the things you use every day should be just as beautiful as the pieces you carefully choose for the rest of your home.
Lee Jofa has spent generations creating patterns that bring rooms to life, and we loved the idea of bringing that same level of beauty and intention into the most personal space in the home. These iconic prints become part of your everyday rituals, from wrapping up after a shower to getting ready in the morning.
That idea is at the heart of one of our favorite Weezie taglines: Enjoy the Stay. We want people to use the nice towels, wear the beautiful robe, and embrace the little luxuries instead of saving them for a special occasion.”

Q: Between the robes, towel sets, and bath accessories, do you have a standout favorite piece from the line? How would you style these printed pieces into an existing bathroom layout that might already have color or pattern?
A: “It’s hard to choose, but I keep coming back to Marciana. There’s something incredibly special about having a Lee Jofa pattern created exclusively for Weezie! It has this beautiful tailored quality that balances the more romantic florals in the collection, and I think it’s a pattern I’ll love for years to come.
I styled the collection in my own primary bathroom, and I think it is a great example of how versatile these patterns are. They mix beautifully with existing wallpaper, patterns, and color because they’re rooted in classic design.”

Q: This collaboration bridges both bath and home with a really thoughtfully curated product mix. How did you decide which specific items, from towels to robes and accessories, would best showcase these iconic Lee Jofa prints, and what makes this lineup feel complete?
A: “From the beginning, we thought about this collection as a complete wardrobe for the bathroom. Every piece plays a different role.
The towels bring these beautiful patterns into your everyday routine, the robes become a true statement piece, and accessories like the shower curtain help create an immersive design moment. We wanted the assortment to work in two ways: it should feel layered and collected for someone who loves pattern, but it should also have enough impact that even one or two pieces can completely transform a more minimal space. That’s what makes the collection feel complete to me.”
